Please be sure to vote! I may or may not agree with your choice of candidates or measures, but that doesn’t matter. Each of us has the privilege and responsibility paid for by the blood and lives of those who bravely fought for our freedom to choose. Today, at the polling place, you will continue that fight by choosing among the candidates who are all imperfect but who most closely represent the personal values you hold to be true. To all Christians, I ask that you vote not with your head, or even with your heart, but instead vote according to the Word. America is at a pivotal moment in its history, having moved beyond the 200-year cycle of nations we’ve observed throughout history. And even more important than the economy, which isn’t affected by politicians nearly to the degree most think, and health care reform, relations with Israel and the guiding moral compass of America will change for better or for worse depending upon your choice. But it is a choice we must make collectively, and you must make individually. Please choose — and choose wisely.
