Everyone has morals. The problem is not everyone has good ones. One could argue Hitler had morals, but few would call his actions good by any stretch of the imagination. God has told His people what is good, and Jesus said if we love Him we will obey his commandments.
The world has fallen further and further since Adam conceded to sin at Eve’s urging. Even after God washed clean the face of the Earth, sin resurged, steadily progressing to final judgement.
Psalm 37:39 assures us The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their stronghold in the time of trouble. What wonderful protection against the wicked hurlings of the enemy! And the previous verse tells us the fate of those walking in wicked ways: transgressors shall be altogether destroyed; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.
Just as storm cellars protect against natural events, so there is a spiritual shelter against any evil seeking to harm us — God is our strong refuge and salvation.
Remain aware of what’s happening in the world, but simultaneously refer to scriptural understanding about what is taking place. These things must indeed come to pass, but we come through with the victory of Christ if we persevere.
Peter prayed for us, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. 2 Pet 3:17-18
Lord, let us never lose the stability You have given us in a sinful world. You are our rock, our immovable foundation. Thank you that all things are working together for the good You have promised. Let us remain loyal always to
