March to Victory

March is more than a month. It’s a verb. A call to action. A military command. A mission given to His church by the supreme commander of the armies of heaven. Christian soldier, you are compelled to follow this order unless you’re a deserter. And I know you’re not…

I had previously thought we were born into a rather ho-hum period of history. There was no world war, revolution, plague, or extreme global disaster to challenge us as were our ancestors. I thought we had overcome the odds and lived in a boringly uneventful time. But brethren, it ain’t so. The earth is being shaken violently, and we are in the greatest battle of our age that makes Ukraine look like a schoolyard brawl. It’s epic. And we have an important role.

Grand combat rocks the spirit realm as the world makes ready for the appearance of the antichrist. Evil thoughts and deeds are rampant, and the planet itself travails in preparation for the changes prophesied in scripture. Evil is declared good. Good is declared evil. But fear not, since God’s prophesy also foretells we win in the end. We are already victorious in this saintly war, only the battle remains to be fought. Soldier, march forward boldly into the fray.

How do we march boldly? We stand for holiness, defying the evil being spewed. We give living testimony to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We witness to those struggling in darkness, looking for the way to the light. We are soldier ambassadors of the Kingdom of God. We fear no evil though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, knowing it’s but a defeated shadow. The hosts of heaven are unleashed. Advance valiantly. March on, you warriors…

Lord, we are your army on earth and we thank you that we share in your ultimate victory. Help us and guide us to be the good soldiers you declare us to be as we march forward boldly for Your glory. In Jesus’ mighty and wonderful name, Amen.
